B.S.O. with Emilio Aragón EPISODE 8 : Lolita

Synopsis

The program will be structured like the verses of the song Mediterráneo by Serrat, Lolita’s favorite song and with which she will delight us singing. They will deal with her childhood and what it is like to belong to a family saga of artists. What it means to be the daughter of Lola Flores and grow up under her skirts and her art. Her beginnings in singing, her first tours, her work as an actress, her passion for theater and life with the Flores FAMILY, with “normal” parents in her day to day life, her relationship with her siblings and her children. They will talk about their father, El Pescaílla, how he was the musician par excellence of the family and how the three brothers have drunk from his musical essence. His influence has led him to sing boleros as he sang them.

With Amor, amor he had the great success of his musical career, which began when he was a minor. He opened for Camilo Sesto and Miguel Bosé. She toured the whole of America and the Miami Sound Machine itself, with Gloria Estefan, heeled her.

The songs of heartbreak and in particular the boleros, are the ones she likes the most. We will know how important Serrat is for her and what other songs made her vibrate in her youth. How Sade reminds her of her sister Rosario or how her brother Antonio “musically introduced” her to many artists and a “noviete” to Cindy Lauper.

These two international artists will be versioned as part of Lolita’s soundtrack, along with Camarón, Armando Manzanero, Paco Ortega and Isabel Montero, Serrat or her own mother.

We will discover a new facet of Lolita, painting, and she will show it to us in a precious moment, while Rozalén sings, who, together with Anni B. Sweet, María Pelae, Alice Wonder, Fuel Fandango and Israel Fernández, will sing her favorite songs.

Lolita thanks Emilio for making a music program, so she can make MUSIC.

They will put the finishing touch with Bebo San Juan giving her “Canta hasta que te duela la garganta”, which talks about what we should all do, every day, sing and dance, “that makes your soul happy”. They will sing this song together and close with all the artists together around the piano singing and dancing in a very flamenco finale.

Miliki’s magial loft

THE PLANET CACHIBU

Planet Cachibu is an exoplanet where the inhabitants of Earth throw their rubbish into a enormous canyon in a desperate attempt to dispose of the waste that has invaded their seas and oceans.

Miliki, whose stay on Earth has come to an end and is looking for a place to retire and rest, lands on the distant planet and is surprised to discover that it is inhabited by very strange and amusing beings: The Cachibus. The tiny inhabitants are about to leave their little planet, which is drowning in the garbage from Earth, but Miliki convinces them that they can recycle it, treat organic waste to cultivate gardens, and reuse old objects to convert them into useful and fun things.

Together, they’re going to make the planet a clean, green, and sustainable place. But Miliki didn’t come alone. In addition to his faithful friend Dron Pepito, a homemade drone, he carries under his arm a bottonless suitcase full of music, magic, laughter, stories, and joy. The Cachibús are delighted with the new arrival, and Miliki is also happy with his new friends, but there are some little people he misses a lot… Miliki left his grandchildren Miliki Jr. and Susanita on Earth and misses the time he spent with them and the adventures they had together. As luck would have it, Dron Pepito can connect with Dron José, the drone that he left with the children before starting his long journey.

Communication between Earth and Planet Cachibu is constant and Miliki can continue to be close to his grandchildren, enjoy their adventures and share his day-to-day life with them, despite being thousands of miles away. In Miliki’s Loft, there is much more. But Miliki’s Loft isn’t just the adventures of Planet Cachibu.

In addition to the adventures of Miliki, Susanita, Miliki Jr. and the Cachibus, the loft is full of songs, stories, and entertaining sections starring our characters.

Miliki’s old songs, and a couple of new ones, fill the loft with catchy melodies, fun compositions and rhythm.

The stories told by the unforgettable voice of Miliki transport listeners to worlds full of fantasy and incredible characters, where anything is possible.

– Susanita’s curiosity about a variety of topics tests the patience and wisdom of Raton Colorao over and over again.

– In Fun Words, Miliki teaches Miliki Jr. and Susanita how much fun playing with language can be.

– In the Music Loft, Miliki takes the children on a journey through the different rhythms and music of the world, teaching them the instruments and the great composers.

Captain Bebo takes us on exciting adventures to unimaginable places at the helm of his walnut-shell boat.

– And after so many emotions and adventures comes Respira, the time to relax and get ready for bed. We’ll need our strength for the next day.

Third single from the album La Vuelta al Mundo

I was born in Havana, and although I have travelled a lot and made the customs of other cultures my own; my home has been a perfect symbiosis between Spain and Cuba. When I was a child, Fabada and Congrí coexisted perfectly, guaracha and sevillanas, Beny Moré and Miguel de Molina. Whenever I listened to el Bárbaro del Ritmo, I thought: that man must be a happy man. Those songs can only be born from happiness. If we link this idea to the adagio that reminds us that it is better to go to bed without eating than to wake up in debt, these songs fulfill a promise to my mother, Rita, and Aruca. Here I offer these songs, which are the fruits of happiness.

Battle of the Giants 2019

In 2019 Battle of the Giants returns to become the biggest benefit concert of the year and does so in the name of a huge challenge at a time of climate crisis: WATER

Water is our first nourishment

The idea is simple: our body (70% percent water) could not absorb the nutrients needed to have a healthy life without safe water.

Without water it is also not possible to grow food, or keep the livestock that feed the planet.

But we’re losing water.

In 2030, 700 million people will have had to abandone their homes due to the drought.

2100 million people, mainly women, fight a battle of giants to get water. They walk kilometers to reach a well. Girls leave school for it.

Not only is it far: there is less and less. In Africa, in Asia, in Latin America… the drought is drying the soils and aquifers. And scratching the little water there is already is one of the main battles of giants in the world.

We need giants to help great women and men who fight a battle every day to get the water with which to overcome hunger.

Pepe Maní Bebo San Juan

“Pepe Maní” is the first musical theme of the Bebo San Juan album “La vuelta al mundo”.

Battle of the Giants Concert

BATTLE OF THE GIANTS is a project by Action Against Hunger, based on an original idea from Emilio Aragón and with the executive production of Caribe Estudio.

Emilio Aragón: “In the summer of 2015, I listened to Lucha de Gigantes on my earphones while riding my bike. Recently, I had heard on the radio the news of the exodus of Syrian refugees seeking refuge in Europe. Listening to Antonio (Vega), my old friend, the images of all those people struggling to survive in so many parts of the world made its way into my mind. I had to stop. Lucha de Gigantes was giving voice to each of the individual struggles of all those who suffer. I thought about what we could do from Action Against Hunger to add giants to this struggle that claims the lives of 8,500 children every day, and from there this project was born, which has grown a little bigger every day and, today, is a giant.”

Carlos Vega: “The day when Emilio told me about the project he wanted to carry out with the image and repertory of Antonio, I thought that, at last, something important and deserved would be undertaken, at the level of talent, emotion and generosity that Antonio gave to all of us who knew and valued him. Finally, his music and poetry could prosper in a bigger, universal territory, and, at the same time, continue helping the many of us who believe that the world can and must be better, if we get involved and act from the empathy with those who suffer, from that necessary hope in human beings. BATTLE OF GIANTS reaches us, his family, as a project of affection, recognition and generosity that we receive with pride and deep emotion, and we will do our best to support him.”

Manuel Sánchez-Montero: “War and violence are today the main cause of the struggle of 821 million giants against HUNGER. 122 of the 155 million children with chronic malnutrition live in countries of conflict. Today we have the means and the knowledge to be able to make HUNGER history. We need the support of Giants (citizens, companies, gov-ernments) in order to end hunger for good.”

On October 5, 2018, a charity concert against HUNGER was performed at the Teatro Real opera house in Madrid.
